MERO transports various sorts of crude oil of different origin. Crude oil is a mixture of different, mostly non-aromatic fluid hydrocarbons. Their portions differ strongly depending on the origin.
Crude Oil
The properties of the crude oil transported in the MERO are:
- density (15 °C) 600 - 1000 kg/m3
- viscosity (10 °C) 0.5 - 450 cSt
- steam pressure 0.2 - 0.8 bar
- flash point < 10 °C
- pour point -40 °C - +30 °C
